When Alfie came to stay

Last weekend we headed to Norfolk for our first experience of Glamping with 2posh2pitch. Luxury dog friendly bell tent hire on the North Norfolk coast…

A few weekends back James and I headed to Norfolk for our first ever camping trip… Well when I say camping, I mean glamping in style with 2Posh2Pitch. We stayed at one of their two camp sites, Whitehall Farm, a working farm within the gorgeous Holkham Estate. With only a short 10 minutre drive to the coast, I couldn’t think of a better base for our weekend.

It was a 3 hour drive for us to get to Norfolk, add a few traffic jams to that and we couldn’t wait to arrive and relax… Now if we were camping this would be where we would arrive to realise that we still have to set up camp, which always takes longer than the packaging on the tent tells you… Add a wild spaniel to the mix and it doesn’t really feel like you have just arrived on holiday. This is why we decided to camp through Kate at 2Posh2Pitch, we just pull up on our site to find our bell tent waiting for us.

I wouldn’t say “too posh to pitch” really applies to me but I am certainly too lazy! This is where staying with 2Posh2Pitch was a definite winner with me, we could enjoy the camping experience without having to worry about the set up, or the cost of having to purchase all the camping gear.

You also get the added luxury of one of their picture perfect bell tents… It definitely makes the whole camping experience so much better! You walk in to own 6 meter bell tent, to see it kitted out with everything you could possible need for your stay…

With soft colourful rugs and coir matting it is almost as if you are stepping into your own hotel room. The first thing to take your eye will be the real king sized bed – Not something you would get if you usually when you camp, but oh did it make the whole camping experience so much better. So you can rest up in the comfort of the fluffy king sized duvet after a hard day exploring. It doesn’t just have to be the two of you any extra guests (up to 4 in total) will be supplied with single airbeds with fitted sheets, duvets and pillows.

They really have tried to think of everything you’ll need to make the most of your glamping experience, but there are a few things you need to bring along with you, such as toiletries, towels, wellies, camping stove, kettle, charcoal for the barbie…

Of course, there is always something waiting for their four legged visitors – The most important guests of course! There is a nice cosy bed waiting, with a water bowl, treats and a handy tag for you to pop on their collar… Just incase your dog decides to go for a wander without you.

Our evenings were spent outside enjoying Whitehall Farm, our pitch was overlooking the horse paddocks so I was very pleased with our neighbours – Or should I say neigh-bours!

James took on the role of head chef during our stay, cooking up some fabulous dishes for us to enjoy alfresco! The BBQ had kindly been provided by Kate – All we had to worry about was what to cook… Steak night was a definite favourite.

We were very lucky to have some gorgeous weather thoughout our stay so we had some great sunsets to enjoy… Which was made even better by the gorgeous fairy lights dotted about our tent! Which came in extra handy if we needed to take a visit to the loo’s during the night haha.

When Alfie bear came to stay with 2posh2pitch on the North Norfolk coast.

Well I don’t know about you but our first camping experience was a huge success – Even Alfie loved it, and he is a complete princess! Yes, he did have to sleep in the big bed incase the monsters ate him… But he loved it!

A huge thank you to Kate at 2Post2Pitch for having us, I highly recommend a stay! The Norfolk coast if one of our favourites.
